puppy wrote:Nan - this is such an adventurous tale. So sorry you had troubles but you also had some great sightings. You must have freaked out with the Puffy incident - we also had a puffy incident last year! Great to spend such a long time in KTP. Love the Pygmies

- we didn't see one while we were there in March.

puppy, nice to have you here
troubles

... and not finished yet
the Puffy was a great experience, a bit strange, but is the Kgalagadi
I saw several Pygmies and lot of new birds
I also had a great pleasure to follow your adventures

As you know, cheetah are very sensitive, but maybe the youngster will make it while it can attend kills?
Love the agama!
And bird kill again!

had a lot of kills... bird's kills, for most
hope the Cheetah is better now
this Agama was very special... vertical acrobat
Mel wrote:What an awesome time you had, nan! First finding Star who hadn't been seen like in ages

I just hope that they'd have found a proper meal soon again.
But looking at Corinne and her 4 cubs - there were always times when the five of them looked rather thin. Unfortunately, the lack of rain doesn't really help
the animals though...
Honey badger! And what a brilliant sighting and lighting as well.
Also the BEFS, the great capture of the agama and the hilarious tortoise. Plus you got a beautiful perlie

Lot of chance with the Cheetahs I found. Did the Star's cubs have a name... I searched in the Matthiew book... find nothing
I stayed with the Honey Badger until it vanished... it digged

maybe 10 holes, I was alone, it was at Urikaruus waterhole, what a "work in progress" it did... all around was open

I'm not sure if somebody had seen them before you and reported them to Matthew, nan.
He's a bit snowed under at the moment though, poor lad

and the icing on the cake
Itumeleng at the entrance of the 14th, in the first tree on the left. We are 2 cars, but soon three others arrive and the Leopardes decides to change up, it goes down from his perch, a Springbok between teeth, crosses the field towards the other road ....
3 latest cars are getting behind her, she freaks out, losing its kill, retrieve and runs to hide under another tree, I never see her again, she had to take her highest quarters in the dunes, only the kill is left hanging in a tree ... thank you the "bandits" who do not know .... just observe... it's true that 10 m away is so far....

Tonight 13 Lions spend the night at the waterhole and after drinking, they settled just in front of my unit, to the right of the small bush ... so I'm the only one who can see them
