One of the great sightings I had was with tusker MAHLAHINI. I will write a story about this sighting(s) with him later but as a greet to all tusker friends here a video I made of him.

Shipene
Just one day in Kruger and a great sighting late afternoon (March 29th) When I saw him I was almost sure it was SHIPENE.
But.... He normally roams the area north of Shingwedzi , even up to Punda Maria area and now..
Just North of Letaba, between Letaba and Mopani , north of the bridge near Letaba. A real traveller but first time he went down so far. After checking the pictures 100% sure it is SHIPENE.
Now I also understand the remarks of some tusker friends about not seeing him in the North anymore.
Pictures made around 5 PM with great sunset light.

Two days after meeting Shipene and just arrived in Shingwedzi my great friend MANDZEMBA appeared in the Shingwedzi riverbed.
It was very early in the morning , we left camp at 6 AM , turning right and from the bridge I could make these pictures.
7th time I met him so for me he is one of the special ones. I remember I saw him first in 2009 and was sure he would be a big tusker later on. Other "experts" just said , no, not an emerging tusker.... in 2018 these "experts" recognized him as tusker .....
So, not a joke but April 1st I saw him again.
I like this picture where he is part of the environment , his "home".
