Ok!
As the evening began tranquility went for a ball rather rapidly, but there we go...I had my moment!
A new view for me...looking at Zimbabwe sort of!
The monkeys were a real pest...they broke a glass the next morning, but were rather entertaining to the suitably euphoric leachy!
Ready for action! I had started the fire while the rest were on the drive, using leaves and twigs..the firelighters were in the car? I haven't done this for decades, and was quite chuffed with myself, getting back to nature and all! (it helps when everything is bone-dry, I suppose!

)
We had a royal time, I must say, and I was looking forward to the sosaties, at long last!
Now I love Phala Spar to bits, but had been mercilessly haranguing them for weeks with our pre-order to make old-fashioned yellow ones. In a panic, they ended up putting aniseed into them, for some crazy reason, so eventually they tasted like rusks!

Foiled again!
However, GB and leachy ate ravenously!

Pap and sheba was brilliant from GB too!
The night erupted into the normal nonsense, with leachy in the lead as he was in a rare good mood, looking forward to sleeping in a bed for the first time in a week!
The nice thing about these places is that they have large dining room tables, which makes for a wonderful old-time supper..I love it!
After the rusks and whiskey we retired to the fire again...
And the two youngsters retired...
And I was getting tired...
But leachy dealt his normal death blow...guilting me into a "little Amarula nightcap" before bed.
Unfortunately his idea of a little Amarula is a wine glass full, which I simply couldn't finish. This led to constant insults for 24 hours or so, but "Ek kon nie meer nie, Korporaal", and crawled off to bed...
Next morning leachy was apparently fighting fit and he and GB went on a drive again, while Milhouse and I slept in in our individual rooms, all with en-suite FANCY bathrooms!

Somewhere the previous night leachy had made me carry a chair into his shower, and I did it quite easily! Not so easy to remove the next morning...
So laden with about a kilogram of leftover rusk sosaties we departed...I had wanted to say goodbye to Frank, but GB said it was pointless as he had already done that drive..
Back at Kloppies...mud only!
It was to be a long day for us, and I blame leachy's Amarula...
