At the bird hide, the floods from earlier in the year had cleared out the riverside vegetation so that there was a clear view of the remaining pools in the riverbed.

A Wood Sanpiper was foraging along the water's edge.

Crocs sunbathed on the exposed banks.

After continuing on Southwards for a while, we saw this Zebra stallion on his lonesome.

And a lone Giraffe with darker markings than usual.

A small flock of Cut-throat Finches were on a roadside bush.

Along with an LBJ which I've yet to ID - any guesses out there? (I'm thinking Indigobird -O- )

Those black giraffe bulls are normal, but the coat patterns go all over the place...wish someone would do a study! 0:
