What is happening in pockets all over Africa is a form of selective breeding where the % of tusk-less elephant is allowed to escalate.
The opposite can also be achieved should the % of tusk-less elephant be reduced.
Zimbabwe has therefore embarked on a a special program where tusk-less elephant are hunted under special conditions and attractive pricing and that surely will eventually correct the excessive incidence of tusk-less elephant in that country.
