Good monkey shots too, and of course the kingfisher. I wonder what fish that is?

Luckily we disvocered that imaginary road and same looks open every time Maybe tadpoles? We noticed lots in other ponds and obviously something yummy for all the birdies

Check in was done in no minute and we got again bungalow No. 87 as requested and a nice surprise already awaited us as they were presently busy in refurbishing the river view bungalows and the one we got was already finished and the bathroom had been done with new tiles completely new, the floor in the bungalow and on the verandah got new tiles, the roof new thatch and all the switches had been changed.

We moved in and enjoyed a nice break from driving and only left camp again extreme late for a really short afternoon drive along the Sabie on the tar road today where we came across white backed vultures,



a sort of locusts on the ground,



and kudus and as it was already late we turned around



and had now a bit more time for the kudus



who somehow occurred at the sport plentiful.





After 5 times braai we were now in the mood for something else and so decided to pay the Cattle Baron Restaurant a visit. Service and food were brilliant and we enjoyed dinner there extreme on the deck outside. Whilst strolling back along the walkway to our bungalow we heard some loud nagging from a tree along the river and immediately shone with our torch into the tree and discovered in the end 3 bushbabies



who were about to climb higher into the tree obviously same could not be done silently.



After we already spotted two of them during a previous visit on our verandah in this camp
without any picture



we now were successful in at least taking a couple of pictures although it was not easy to capturing them due to the darkness.





Back in our bungalow we nearly fell into the bed after such an adventurous day again.

Wednesday, 19. February 2021 – Skukuza

Explored roads: H11 – S1 – H11 – H1-1 – S114 – S21 – H4-1 – H12 – H1-2 – H11 – S42 – H11 – H4-1 – H12 – H1-2

After having enjoyed our first coffee on our verandah with the view over the Sabie river as well as realizing the day got brighter and brighter we left camp with opening time and soon turned right in order to check whether the S65 might be open again. We soon came across an African hawk eagle



and after a while a second one joined the one we took pictures from most of the cars carried on but we took our time whilst observing the eagles



and after we got our shots we carried on only to stop again for a Wahlberg eagle on the ground.



Then we were spoilt once again with a wonderful leopard sighting so far leopard No. 5 during this trip.



In the beginning it was not easy to photograph same due to the heavy traffic close to the Paul Kruger gate and for sure close to Skukuza camp but from time to time we had a clear view



onto a beautiful younger female



who strolled along the road and in the direction of most of the cars as cold as ice.



Needless to say that she was such a cool beauty but after a while she disappeared in the high vegetation along the road and we already thought she was gone.

Totally right and also the hawk eagles were a nice sighting that early morning
