We also did some shopping at Phalaborwa over December but they didn’t have a huge variety of braai meat. They only had steak or t-bone. Nothing else

Next trip to the bush??

Let me think......................

Where did you buy, Alf? The best place for meat in Phalaborwa is Makhoma, good quality and best prices.

They don't keep much in the front fridge, but if you ask they will cut what you need and vacuum pack it. You can even phone and pre-order.

You must bring your own cow, Alpheus. This is Phalaborwa. O**

I was surprised by the number of supermarkets in Phala for such a small town and they are always full. I suppose that the mine has made it a well to do town. It is enough to have a look at the cars that go to and from the mine. When I went to the park, I saw them coming and when I came back, I saw them leaving.

One thing they couldn’t help with was chicken. They said it’s too humid in Phalaborwa and the fresh chicken doesn’t last in the fridge.

Thanks Sprocky

You go to a vegetable shop for chicken, not a butcher. 0- 0-
