Day 8 Friday 16 November : Balule.
It was raining when the alarm went off before the sparrows farted so we went back to sleep.
When we eventually got up I spotted an interesting caterpillar crawling across the fridge top.
We took a leisurely drive down to Satara where we'd arranged to meet Aat and Ellie for breakfast.
There was a huge herd of Buffs a few kms north of Satara.
Aat presented me with a copy of his excellent Tuskers Calendar which now hangs in a prominent position in our house.
On the way back to camp I took this scenic picture.
Back at Balule, a Robber Fly and a White-fronted Bee-eater.
The afternoon drive was a bust, I didn't get a single picture that was worth posting.
I found this beautiful spider in the entrance to the ablution block. I think it's a Trapdoor Spider of some kind.
It was a bit skittish and was jumping and assuming this aggressive posture every time I moved.
It even jumped and landed upside-down.

Hunting cannot be considered a sport as all contestants in a sport should know they are playing the game!
