You could merge this and call it fatbush? #justsaying =O: =O: =O:
I recon leave them as is?

So for a Friday....
Once driving in the sabisands again, we were on a Landy with a German couple. This guy must have gone to the "Africa" store before he arrived in SA, as he was kitted out in Khaki's and vellies etc O** . With an amazingly huge leather hat! :-? One the drive we were tracking either wilddoggies or cheetah, I can't remember which one, but the call came through that another vehicle had spotted them in the area about 5km's away! ^Q^ So off we went. Speeding through the bush, on a single track, between all the trees etc.
As is normal practice, before you set off, you are told to hold on! We did, but next thing a loud scream came from the back... "Mien hoed, mein hoed" :-? . We screeched to a hault, turned around, and there about 10 meters behind us was this man's hat hanging from an Akasia tree stuck between the thorns! =O: =O: =O:

We retrieved the hat, missed the animal in question, as they moved off onto another farm! O/ O/ O/
Later that evening, the German man in question, had a couple of wines in him, and walked slap bang into the back of a hippo (Aparantly he didn't remember this the next morning, but the ranger, him and his wife, all enjoyed a good sprint to the chalet).... We didn't see him or his wife again, but the hat still hangs in the bar of the establishment =O: =O: =O: !!!

These stories makes me think about the sunset drive we took from Satara a few years ago. On the vehicle were people from Italy, USA, and SA. The guys from the USA had girlfriends from SA but they knew nothing from the bush or any animals 0*\

We saw a Kori Bustard and the one girl said it was a secretary bird lol lol

Then we saw a lilac breasted roller and she called it a kingfisher =O:

Best of all when we saw a blue wildebeest she called it a dagha boy =O: =O: =O:

Maybe she tried to impress the boyfriend but atleast do some research before you throw away your name 0*\

Next trip to the bush??

Let me think......................

Alf, sorry, but you seem to make a habit of meeting locals being "girlfriends" of foreigners, re, Orpen Gate... :-?
