On we went, to go and see leachy's buffalo!
The weather was sunny, chilly and breezy!
We always stop under the Cahorra Bassa powerlines ever since we noticed years ago that the strands "dance" closer and farther from each other rhythmically due to the power!
We were in full tusker mode! Ellies all over the place!
And just before Babalala somewhere...MORE tsessebe!
At Babalala we waited for about 10 seconds for leachy...we hadn't set a time, which is daft...and the Dimwits were a bit...subdued...after the previous night, for some reason?

And the weather was unpleasant during those ten seconds!
Leachy's buffalo at Boyela, which he was to come and have been seen earlier!
We sped back to Shing, wary now as the idea was sort of to make brunch there. With every passing kilometer the realisation uncomfortably increased that leachy would be miffed that we hadn't waited for him, so the mood got more and more sombre.
('Miffed" may not sound a very serious thing, but with leachy it means the End of Days...

)
Anyway, things got worse as Shing was merciless about not letting us into the unit before 2pm, as is their right? So we lay on the verandah of the unit as the sun came out with a vicious vengeance and temperatures rocketed!
It is a special kind of torture sitting outside the sliding door gazing at the aircon inside!
And we were suffering aniseed withdrawal symptoms!
We had buns and viennas, my standard "comfort food", but the little packets of tomato sauce in my ubiquitous basket were about 6 years old, so no risk-takers...
The cleaning lady came to let us in! So a nap in the aircon!
The 3 beds are in a row, with the aircon and fan roaring over the middle bed. I was in the middle bed, so under blanket soon!
Robert popped round, if I recall, and we sorted the evening braai! Then we ran away before leachy came, going on the S-52, as we felt like a spot of leopard, to excuse the pun!
But we were not Bushcraft....so not that much to see. But a very lonely and pleasant drive, I must say! We were gathering steam again, and got into serious school politics...intelligent conversation is a winner, always, but time flies by!
Our last sunset!
