GS wanted to know where the funds are derived from. Giju Varghese (GV) stated that R240mil is received from the state. The proposed infrastructure will come from state funded money and the revenue derived from it will go to SANParks. GS stated that he would like the budget not to be overspent.

This money is in SP 2013-14 budget!

Only R200 mil, though.

FdG said that his sources told him that the project has been out on tender or awarded? GP stated they should please verify their sources. TH said that all the work being undertaken is of a preliminary concept design nature. Drawings are not yet completed. The project has therefore not been out on tender.

How could consultants have been brought in and paid for, and drawings abundantly completed, and R240 million been allocated if there has not been a tender?

If this is true, fine, but then several dates for scheduled completion, as above, should not be announced?

R240mill is given from the state (the tax payers) or burrowed from the state?? If given, how come that the revenue goes to Sanparks? If it is so the state throw away the tax payers money with no possibility of getting any of it back For a HOTEL

SP gets money from the state regarding anything from acquisition of land to antipoaching to flood disaster relief, Lis...how they spend it is their problem...not a very good system!

The public meeting did take place . It was well attended and other interest groups attending where Aikona and Sabi Sands.Africa wild is well known due to our previous attendance at Groenkloof and liaison from Forum members.
Detail about events ,agenda will follows me ,leachy and Richprince must just decide how and when.
