At least you have now seen the Kgalagadi in all its different moods
Wonderful flowers and fantastic photos of the lions
Lovely bateleurs in the tree

lot of different moods
it's fantastic how many grass and flowers grow up just after the rain... already the day after

, but a nice lion sighting!

almost all the loops were closed... the best in the park
and for trees it's a real lost... need so many time to be huge

Glad you got some cheetah, nana!

I was on the mission to find Cheetahs and "my" Leopard, but I missed her (she)

WOW... You didn't experience rain only but also some pretty heavy storms by the looks of it
Those lions are really cute! And so tender with each other.
Hanri has grown into a real show-girl

She definitely is her mum's daughter. And gladly so. Hope she'll have just as many years to come.

I think is normal to have a lot of different weather during 6 weeks

but so heavy storms... and still more to come
lot and lot of Lions... often awake

and even naughty
yes, long life to Hanri
could you think she could be pregnant (photo at the edge of the dune)

Actually, that is what I thought when I saw your photo. But with cheetahs it's difficult. She Looks rather thin otherwise and maybe she just had a good meal
On the other Hand, I'm still pondering about why she cut off Gus and Marg so early... Maybe because she had already been in heat again? Only speculations and
we'll only know if we get to see some cubs in the near future. But that's a big IF cause even Lisette and Elena lost quite a few litters inbetweeen those we got
to know.

Re-start for my second stay of 4 nights at Grootkolk
Started with AWC, Lesser Grey Shrike, Pygmy Falcon.
At Kwang, a Lanner Falcon propagate terror, a Gymnogene (that I first identified as a juv Bateleur), Yellow-billed Kites, Secretary Birds... test. He is young and I think he wants to show his parents who are present, how he does ... and how strong it is...
As always mandatory stop at Nossob I request charging the battery of the "fridge". The charger is not found ... there is only one in the whole camp? It will eventually come for a half load, the current is cut off much of the night

half night

Nossob Hide

new one

way to the old hide
