Old Murphy was not that mean, after all it was a great sighting and so late in the morning. Leopards always get top votes and with a kill non the less O:V ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

Thanks Pumbaa, RP, Mel, harrys, Flutterby, Lisbeth, STF and nan for sharing this wonderful sighting with us. :ty: Welcome back on board nan 0/*

We certainly found some good 'spots' this day! We couldn't really ask for more could we? But the day was still young, and you never know what is waiting for you just around the next bend in Kruger do you?

Saturday 26th August - Delaporte Day! continued...

Elated with our morning we drove back to Skukuza to have a bite for breakfast. While in the rest camp we went looking for a few locals. First were the Epauletted Fruit-bats near reception.

Then we noticed the small water feature beside reception was attracting some nice birds.

Stomachs satisfied, we piled back into the car to go and check out Lake Panic. I had heard so much about this bird hide that I was hoping Lyca would really love it. Heading along the tar approaching the Lake Panic turnoff a couple of cars were stopped viewing something. We approached slowly as always and stopped short to try and spot their subject. Immediately one of the cars moved forward to park next to us and inform us that a Leopard had just crossed and was currently sitting off the side of the road. If we took their position we would be able to see it. 'Sure!' we replied, and as they cruised off we manoeuvred to where they had been parked and saw this big fellow chilling off in the bush.

WOW! He was taking no notice of all the cars starting to pile up on the busy road, and here we were with the best seat in the house!
