5th Skukuza continued
We were still on a leopard high as we went past Skukuza and jabbering too much so I forgot the loo stop which resulted in a Skukuza day visitors pit stop which is never nice as the ablutions are suspect and it’s the only place I wish I had shoes on while in Kruger, so I did the usual tap dance trying to let as little of my feet as possible touch the ground while holding my breath. The Cow and rats noses were touching their chin when they eventually returned to the car and their experience sounded worse than mine.
Plenty of the normal gang popped up on the way to Lower Sabie including lions which were either in the bush or sleeping, so we didn’t spend too much time at any of the sightings.
Nobody needed a stop at Lower Sabie so I continued on towards Mlondozi, but stopped for a hippo in a “nest” next to the H10 Bridge. I’m not sure if he was hiding out or just in a comfortable spot.
Halfway down the S29 to Mlondozi we hit another timing luck as 2 cheetahs gave us a shock when they appeared next to the road. The cheetah did the scent marking thing and then cruised out into the road in front of us.

Re: Browns in Kruger October 2018
We followed along keeping our distance initially and when they finally moved off the road and stopped we snuck up next to them. Minutes later they sat down around 5m from us.

Exquisite cheetah sighting!
I'm glad you understood the shoe hygiene thing at last, BC...
That H10 bridge always seems to have a faulty hippo there!
Nice lion too!

Thanks Alf, Lisbeth, RP, Flutts and PJL for posting this episode
I hope it's not too monotonous
We start to wind down over the last day and a half, so the cats do start to slow down...…….get further away at times, so a few other things fill the gaps in the day
