Ja, aat! Well said. Unfortunately, as said elsewhere, one has to take most of what SANParks PR dept. says with a pinch of salt..waiting for a final final final answer/declaration... 0*\

Let's roll! X#X

Lisbeth,
Then I think it is Nhlowa you have seen. As far as I can see in my database Nhlowa got that big notch somewhere between febr and may 2013.

Per today I was able to read posts about what happened somewhere else and what has been said about me and my tusker site.

I just like to reply on this and make clear what my intensions were and are................

.........Service? This includes ID'ing tuskers, which can take a few seconds up to hours or longer.

........................I am and was using my site to have a good overview of the tuskers which is and was not possible at SP forum. My site is without any commercial purpose , no ads etc.... just born and used as a tool to display.

I hope I answerred questions and clarified misunderstandings and replied to some lies I detected.

Hi Aat 0/* It is so sad what has been done to you elsewhere , but maybe you will remember what I said about
criticism and intolerances in that respect .
It appears that someone else , somewhere under SP now want to start up a research on tuckers , ID'ing them etc , and since your work is not being recognised , I just wonder how they will proceed , for surely your website belongs to you and you have full copy-right to it . As such , they cannot really use the names that you gave to many many of the tuckers , and therefore they would have to start with a new set of names .
Hmmm.... and that will certainly cause a lot of confusion .
And they cannot use the photographs in your website either , because firstly , it belongs to the specific photographers , and in any event , it has taken a number of years to build up all the information and data .

In any event , be strong my friend ..... you have a lot of support \O

Thanks Okie,
I just can say I continue here and I continue with the Tusker site and what others do at other places I really don't care. I know what it cost to build this up and how much time it cost to do all. :-) :-) Looking at the feedback and emails I received it all gives a a good feeling and I am sure we all benefit from each other with Tusker sightings, ID's etc... :-) :-)

Help with ID'ing Tusker

Hi All,
Yesterday I created an easy to use ID document.
If you have seen a possible tusker go here and check what's right (left tusk broken, collar, big notch just in left ear etc... and you find the names of the tuskers per region (north - central or south)
With almost clean ears I mean small holes or notches or really clean.

Let me know what you think of it ok?
