As the lions did what they do best we tried to get decent pictures of big brother, but with the sun sinking lower and lower we soon gave it up as a lost cause. In general we were very relaxed and enjoying being in such close proximity to the lion. Talking and laughing we suddenly realized the action had started without us.
At first we thought he was just going to move into another patch that still had a bit of sun. After his reluctant stretch he moved off towards the bush to investigate what Big Momma was up to. She was having some quality times with one of her, not so small, babies. they both seem to be enjoying the tender moment they were sharing.
Which was rudely interrupted by Big Daddy.
With Big Daddy up and about, Herman decided he better make a move before he landed in the dog box for being lazy.
Big Daddy had other ideas on his mind and he wanted the kids to go out and play.
Mom left PeeWee and joined up with Herman, much to big Daddy's disgust.
Finally big Daddy had Big Momma to himself.(although next to big Daddy we should have perhaps called her Little Mama.
He promptly scented her marking in the sand and it was obvious to what his plans were for the evening. He is the king of the jungle and his subjects have to bow down to his every whim.
She, being very subservient but clever lady, humbly cosied up to him. I am positive she told him "Not tonight dear - I have a headache"
He obviously did not take very kindly to her saying no.
(and now I am having problems with my connection...............to be continued.)
