5th Skukuza continued
The cheetahs parked off and got comfortable so we did the same and started talking and passing snacks around.
Suddenly the 1 cheetah jumped up and started forward with a slight sneak followed by the other resulting in a mild flap from us and flying cameras in the car.

We could see they were angling to cross the road so we just sat still and they both crossed right in front of us.

The cheetahs were still showing signs of intent so we were hyped up and looking around for what it could be, but their body language slowly changed and a tree next to the road with some shade looked more interesting.

More cars started arriving and we were now rather hungry, so we decided to head on to Mlondozi for a RP type Prego thing, but the Komatipoort butcher doesn’t get it right.

The vervets were on attack as usual, but the picnic site caretaker soon chased them so we could chow in peace. After brunch the Cow caught the rats in a row checking out the waterhole, guess who’s who.

On the way back to the H10 we went past the cheetahs again, but there was now a fair gang of cars so we just continued on which resulted in some strange expressions from many in the gang.
Next up was an Eagle owl on its nest and then the Cow found the lion locals in the distance just past the H10 Bridge.

There were plenty hippo out the water at Sunset Dam and the stop gave the Cow a chance for her bird pics.

Hawkeyes in the middle and Bushpig to the right and jr. rat to the left
Those cheetahs are a lovely sight, so relaxed
The hippoes still on land and a lot
@RP, not only in Kruger the animals are accustomed to cars, in KTP you can almost drive over the lions before they move

Why is it ironic RP, it was cold

I wear jeans on the very rare occasion but I'm still barefoot

I own safety boots for work (which are 14 years old

) and my matric dance shoes are still available for the odd wedding or rubbish like that when I have to dress up like a pencil neck
From the butcher in the same shopping complex, but it's not the same
I also found it strange that the owl was parking off like that
