Another Rietvlei first. Diderick cuckoo on Vlei Route.
A hairy cattepillar in its beak.
Then he flew away from us.
More to follow including a kill.

Black shouldered kite with a kill. Sorry about the poor quality but these pics were taken on full 500mm and then heavily cropped.

You saw quite a lot of black-shouldered kites - my favorite small raptor
