I LOVE Ground Hornbills with their luscious lashes ( I was surprised the first time I saw one close-up - VERY long lashes ;-) )
The kudu shot in the sunlit flora against the dark boulder background is rather striking, great Euro. Roller shot, and I like the composition in the last (Sandpiper???etc) shot with the sand and water background. ^Q^ O:V

..0.. I think you should post your Marabou stork photo in the FUNNY FOTO thread with the caption being the title of a country song by Loretta Lynn - "You're the Reason Our Kids Are So Ugly" \O

After all the rain I wanted to see if the Sable Dam loop had been opened and if yes, in how bad a state the hide was.
A Brown Snake-Eagle was also examining the situation, but from a better position, high up ;-)

The S51 had been opened :-) . A lot of sand/earth had been added to fill up the most damaged spots of the road. It would have been better to drive a 4x4, but I managed.

At the first opening of the trees towards the dam I saw two beautiful Spoon-Billed storks busy searching for food in the low water.

I followed them until the trees covered the water again
