After we had all cooled down, we continued towards Skukuza. At the H12 high water bridge there was a lion lying on an island in the middle, lots of cars but no OSVs so traffic was flowing well
Just before the Skukuza turn off were more lion, this time tracking something in the river bed.
There was a half hearted attempt at a chase but nothing was going to come of it, so we headed out the traffic towards Skukuza.
Only to be pulled over by the Traffic Police…. “Your daughter had her arm out the window with the big camera …. “.
Now of course there was a taxi stopped right in front of us with 20 arms out the window with cell phones, but I said nothing and apologized. No luck, we were going to get a ticket. But then we were saved by a wasp…

It flew in the police car window and I warned the lady in the car, papers flying and screeching.
Now that I had warned her about the wasp.. I was only going to get a warning. So I passed her the previous days entry ticket

Anyway a huge fuss about nothing and we went on for our annual statue photos..
There had been enough drama for the day, so we agreed on a quiet slow drive down to Croc bridge. W avoided all the traffic jams and put on some 80s music.
On the way down we found a practice fight going on.
And a couple of lion sightings, all to ourselves.
