The following morning we were up earlier and arrived at the gate as the guard opened up .There was no car in front and we dropped off the keys and headed out to out new favorite dam .
Oh look the Vultures are still here must be still cleaning up from the dogs ...
Oh look its a hyena what is it carrying
Hmm not a buck leg .The vultures were cleaning up a spot and these two checked each other out .
Something had taken down a Buff during the night and the hyena had got a leg for breakfast .
We left to drive to the next dam for the morning as the plan was to do some dam hopping then go to the meeting in Hazeyview .
Not too far from the dam we found the Doggies again ... what a great start to the day
They were running along the road following scents and we followed for a few Km before being joined by another vehicle .
every now and then they would leave the road to check for a scent marking
By this time the morning drive had caught up and the vehicle that joined actually came up next to us and asked if we mind if they pass as they had a long trip ahead .What courteous people ... the morning drive also went past then turned arround as they had run out of time and we were left alone with the pack again
My favorite pic from the encounter ..
Eventually they ran off the road and headed deep into the bush what a great sighting
We cut across the S11 and took a pic of the plaque
There was not much to see and we carried on towards transport dam .Meeting a young hornbill
After a few more km's oh no a traffic jam what could it be Lions , Leopard .. no more doggies
Ok not getting too involved did a drive by shooting and carried on .
