First Mabasa says that it will take months to repair and then the Lowveld says 2 weeks

Which is the right one?

The lack of accuracy makes me

How about this:
Lowesabie bridge is closed due to water level . All gravel roads closed due to rain and some flooding. Then they start to protest at Hazyview area and there is no access to Numbi, phabeni or Kruger gate ... Do i now leave at orpen and enter at Malelane ? This little road is a real problem.

Welcome Boerseun,
Ja, if the Lower Sabie bridge is under water it's a big problem!

They took longer than 4 years to fix the bridge over the Olifants river near Balule , so why should they hurry with this one ?
Besides , that part of the park falls within Mpumalanga , and we know how long it takes to fix roads in that province , especially if it's not not a toll-road

.
So , I think one should accept that this will not be an exception

Not to talk about the the bridge across the Crocodile River leading to the CR rest Camp. I think that it has been re-build 2 or 3 times

I wonder how long it might take to get a temporary solution in place

I think they will go with a temp solution and that will only be a few weeks, there is a lot of traffic that needs to travel on this road. It is a vital road this one so cant have it out for long.

In order to make a detour there will always be a river to pass, both to the east and to the west
