I'm a bit dof here: Why would I not profit from it? When I try to book on the day the bookings open, a lot of accomm is already gone.
Partly also because people take much more than they need in the end as they know they've got 10 months before making a final decision.

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

They will still do it, just paying a few bob more 50% dep as to 33%, the only difference I can see is the final payment must be made 60 days before occupation. It looks like they are trying to prevent dumping at the last 30 days, I have my reservations on whether the people will be more circumspect in their initial booking, they will just be cancelling earlier. :-?

Ja..it just adds 30 days, which will not hurt the big touring companies much at all, especially regarding overseas visitors, who obviously book well in advance of 60 days .. -O- .

You should still get your full deposit back at 60 days, as I read it?

Media Release: New accommodation bookings terms and conditions for 2013

Back to all news

Date: 8th October 2012

The South African National Parks (SANParks) will embark on a process of introducing new terms and conditions for accommodation sales as of 01 January 2013.

This according to Bheki Zwane, SANParks General Manager: Sales and Marketing who said the new rules will apply to all accommodation bookings made from 1 January next year and will affect the general public, pensioner clients, travel trade – tour operators and donor clients.

I don,t understand why this person(SANParks) is addressing or lift out all these categories. If I understand it correctly it is actually only the general public and pensioners that is effected.
-The donnours don't have to pay so they just book.
-Traveltrade and tour operator's have certain guarantee's in their concessions ,they are so at home with SANParks that they will play the bookings on their term's. If that is not so then I believe in Santa and tour operators stand in ques at entrance gates wait for their turn. 0*\

Stop buying frackers products,now !!!
