Evan van der Spuy rides along minding his own business for Team Jeep South Africa during a mountain bike race through Albert Falls Dam in South Africa. Then, along comes a red hartebeest, a large antelope that can weighs between 265 to 440 pounds, that rams right into him.

Watch the footage, which provides an excellent reason to wear a helmet. (Note: at 4 seconds in, fellow ride shouts “Watch the buck”):

Luckily no zebras in KTP but a herd of wildebeest can be disatrous for a few cyclist

Serval this is worse than the Hotels in Kruger and the R200million upgrade ofa rural Village ...At least you can get the R200million back. I see there is an 'OFFICIAL' reply back on the Indaba forum...but you need to sign on to read it and I cant as I dont have rights...can you look it up and place it here or any other members do that with sign on privaledges...A Total lack of sense of PLACE

LOL Sprocky...A bit of GOOD news after my bad dream of hearing about the Traditional Skukuza Cricket being transferred to Kalagadi earlier this year for next March. Apparently its been played outside the Park..great it will be nice for those communities who lack equipment and sporting events and so many other ammenities of life...RELIEF!!! So why cant they move the Cycle Event to Verneuk Pan where they can have 125 kms of FLAT saltpan to really test their gears and give their bikes a proper workout...but I guess its nice to ruin something most South Africans treasure

Blah Blah Blah Duck and Dive like Jimmy Mannyi....I wish this is a joke...While the idea of raising funds is a noble one....There are far BETTER ways of raising funds and far more EFFECTIVE too. The South African Citizens werent consulted at ALL and as it is our Park we reject this lack of transparency and this hairbrained scheme in its entirety...Go somewhere else and raise funds using specialist entities (Round Table) in these days of Professionalism
