"Geese, and in this case the Egyptian geese, are mongamous, one male and one female nest alone.
Should the mate die off during a mating season, the other goose will stay alone for the duration of the season."
Looks like these think monogamy is more of a suggestion than a rule. (Note there are 3 of them in the nest)

The collective noun for geese flying closely together is a "plump".
