As part of the SANParks’ Public Private Partnership (PPP) programme, the rollout of Malelane Safari Lodge and Skukuza Conference Lodge in the Kruger National Park, and associated environmental impact assessments (EIA) are in progress

Thanks, Toko! 0/0

Interesting that it is now the "Conference Lodge"..good business move...or going for broke! -O-

Shouldn't some developer be paying for it? :-?

R200 million is presumably just that...and it is confusing as the other stuff will come out of the SP budget, like maintenance? -O-

Save this on your computers, people...things change... O**

I don't see anything about the Malelane Hotel in their provisions, only the one at Skuks. What game Is SP playing?

Sanparks are seemingly convinced, it will not cost them a cent and that
the bucks will simply just fill the coffers!! But which coffers will that be??

Maintenance if but one for argument RP?. Indeed!!

At the meeting, regarding the Malelane hotel a prominent member queried
the construction of the roadworks leading to and from these sites!!
He mentioned that the soil composition was of such nature that it required
regular maintenance and at the best of times, sometimes required closure
due to quack mire conditions.

I itterrated that could be overcome by surfacing the road with tar, yet another
tar road for Kruger!! (Something I detest though only my personal feeling.)

At that point I sensed a somewhat unsettled feeling coming from the developer,

meaning this was either overlooked or not budgeted for!!

Indeed RP, maintenance is where the greater costs lie, where funding becomes
very appropriate!!
