I have discovered a source for (anectodical) reports of rarities in the Kruger National Park such as Oribi etc (still listed in mammal checklists)

There are not many of these kinds of sightings anymore only brown hyena and bush pigs have been seen and now we can also add African skimmer.

Brown hyena are often seen as solitary animals
And not nearly as powerfully built as their spotted cousins.
Really doubt they would bring down an adult kudu

Possible misidentification ?

I saw Bushpig just inside Pafuri Gate near turn off to Outpost early one morning
