im a member of the sightings group

but never used it while in park.

its just like the sigtings boards, and you can only send/receive notifications once you have signal.

but it causes too much chaos at sightings IMHO.

rather find your sighting not post it and have it to yourself or the minimum amount of people

I was in Kruger with my family during the July School Break. My kids even mentioned the rude behaviour at sightings. First we thought it was Sanparks Forum members that crowded the sightings, ( Between Skukuza and Lower Sabie) until my husband found out it was orange ribbons together with the tour operaters also subscribing to the sightings boards.

One man even told us we must subscribe to "Kruger Sightings" so we can be first at a sighting. It was our childrens first real visit to Kruger and they said they prefer Umfolozi and the other northern Natal parks. It is also closer. ^Q^

In the long run this "sightings" thing is going to cost SANParks (Kruger) money due to people going elsewhere.

Hey Jesse

I was on the H4-1 in the July holidays, so we could have been at the same crowded sighting :-?

There’s a sighting group operating in Umfolozi also, so it could go the same way :-?

Jesse wrote:Strange that everyone on this forum is sooooo anti SanParks, and anti development but it looks like you all belong to the Sightings groups????? I thought this group was anti this type of development. I dont post on SanParks because I dont want development of this kind, but now it looks like everybody here has double standards, or an agenda against Sanparks???
Ja, Jesse...

I don't quite understand why this comment is necesary here? Personally I don't even know if this thread is a "Krugersightings" one?

I also don't inderstand what it has to do with Kruger developments by SanParks, and the SpForums!? :-?

Hi Jesse,

I'm not anti SANParks, although I do not agree with some of their policies and decision making.
I'm not anti development per se, but believe the hotel issue could be handled better and an amicable solution that the majority of parkgoers (past and future) could live with could be found.
I'm not anti krugersightings, but am anti bad behaviour by some of the people who utilise this method of communication.
I have never had an agenda against SANParks.
Not too sure where you got your information to base them from, but your statements are factually incorrect.

Maybe choose a different way of putting things over next time you post?
