Mum came down with her three little ones after it had cooled down a bit.
(It had been mid-forties that day
)
And they all got comfortable in the vicinity of the waterhole, with the cubs playing.
It was 8 lions in total: 2 females, 2 sub-adult males, 1 adult male, 3 cubs

At night we were grace with brown hyenas visiting, but only got on shot:
Luckily they were still thirsty the next morning:
There were at least 3 different brownies, but certainly not 13 different ones like a fellow traveller had claimed to have seen some time before.

still on the road we saw some steenboks
most of them very skittish
but some relaxed ones as well
