KTP 2014 - my favourites*

this was in the tree on the right hand side of the picnic site – right above the picnic table.

at the waterhole we saw the only lappet-faced vultures of this trip

when we arrived at Grootkolk we were allocated unit 1 – another first

bird baths were allowed again

as we arrived quite late, we did not go on a drive, but it was time to enjoy another sunset

what a nice start of the day – violet-eared waxbills and a yellow canary at the bird bath



we went on a morning drive to Union’s End. On the way we saw BEFs and it looks like there were some meerkats as well ( I only saw that on the picture though )

we saw some starlings and something else that was moving among them. When we stopped, it turned out to be a honey badger





unfortunately he saw us as well and ran away

I think, this was another first for us – immature and adult PCG together

back in camp, we enjoyed the local wildlife

and we had some visitors as well
