Good gravy!
Is this some combo nest? :-?

Ja, if you camp you have to get up early!

Big lion there at Timbavati!

Imagine how depressing it must be to be called a False Mud Dauber Wasp! =O:

Less offensive bug pics, I must say! X#X

I still dig your camping setup O:V When the rats move out the Cow and I will look at something like that ..0..
It did turn out well but who knows what we might have seen on the other routes -O-

The trailer was brilliant, setting up and packing up were a breeze, we didn't rush at all and hardly broke a sweat but still accomplished each in around 30 minutes - instead of the two hours it used to take with our tent.

This was our old set-up.

I must admit that I did miss my old comfy camp bed a bit but that small regret was far outweighed by the lack of effort required with the trailer.

We did take the extension with us (the green bit) in case we had some really bad weather but luckily we didn't need to use it.

Thanks Lis, yes, they do look a bit thin, especially the cubs.

Don't you mean a condo nest? -O-

We don't always get up early, we usually forego our morning drive if we are moving camp (or it's raining) and get up when we feel like it.

I agree, some bug names are pretty strange but there is also a Mud dauber Wasp which looks almost identical but has a slightly different colour scheme.

I'm lulling you into a false sense of security, I have some really great bugs coming up...including one of your favourites

It looked like a mud ball that was attached to a beam in the kitchen at Timbavati. I assume the pipes - which pointed downwards from the mud ball - are entrances. -O-
