We moved on as you can only take so many photos of lions

. Near Nyamrhi we found the leopard and cub again. Although I stopped a distance from them they were not hanging around but we got two photos of the Mom

We did the early morning walk from Olifants on our second morning. If you want to see the Phantom you have to request it in advance otherwise the walk will be in another area. We set off at 4.30 am.
The area is behind Balule Camp. We have done this walk in search of the Phantom twice before. Well, this morning we got a great sighting of the Phantom even if we did not get a great photo. He was perched in a tree. Then flew off to another tree. He then returned and flew overhaed before he settled down in another tree. We only have this picture but it is worth a 1000 words

3 January 2014
Our last full day in the park. We head south on the H1-4 from Olifants towards Satara. About 10 km north of Satara there are a few cars parked off. We are told that a lion pride had killed 3 buffalos the night before

We see 4 lionesses, 4 cubs and two youn meales feeding on one carcass. There are vultures all over the place.
