Sightings from our Skukuza Riverside Bungalow:

Even though the camp is so large and "citified", there are still lovely areas on the periphery where one can escape its hustle and bustle. At the beginning or ending of a trip to Kruger it is a convenient stop-over as you begin the transition between city life and the authentic riches Nature has to offer.

:-0 :-0 :-0 What kind of sunbird is it? I've never seen that kind before and I'm a bit too lazy to look it up :o0ps:
But I find it incredibly pretty \O

When did you last stay at the riverside bungalow? It used to be the accomm of our choice back when we were still visiting Kruger.
I wonder if they did some upgrades because it was quite worn already then.

I did look it up....White-bellied sunbird ;-)

The light in the bee-eater pic is fabulous ^Q^ ^Q^

The red-billed oxpecker is singing so loud, that the bushbuck is turning the head lol lol

Mel, we were there September 2016, most of the month - Sept. 2 - 28th. I also have a Collared Sunbird from Tamboti that was obsessed with our car side-view mirror that I felt so sorry for. Probably should have covered the mirror so he/she could get on with their life! lol

Great pics Ex. \O I think the Collared Sunbird is a lot rarer than the White-bellied! :shock: :yes:
