Is there a way to upload pictures directely from my computer?
I ask this because if I put the link from imgur that I use to other forums only half the pictures is shown (those above came from a smartphone, so they had another size).
That would spare me a lot of work.

Re: Overwhelmed with Kgalagadi
RP, go away
Pedro, forget about all my requests for now and enjoy your holidays!
And thanks ever so much for going through all the hassle to post another photo. Unfortunately, I have no idea yet who it might be.
On a positive note though... I managed to ID the cheetah on the branch as it actually IS the mother
Her name is Gina. She
used to have four cubs. So now I'm wondering, if one really went astray or if she lost one. Of course, one would assume that it was
also her with her cubs at the kill in the Cubitje area, but since we don't have photos, we don't really know if the account given to
you about five cheetahs was accurate (anything is possible after all...) or if Gina indeed lost a cub inbetween that and your sighting.
Either way, it's still happy news because the last sighting I know of her was in January.
Thanks again for all your efforts!

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

Welcome aboard the KTP fan club bus
It is such a unique place, its beauty understated, yet sublime.
I hope the rest of your family enjoyed it as well, and will be willing to spend your next visit
in some of the camps - a TOTALLY different experience at night, one you don't want to miss.
Your daughter's pics are lovely - love the PCG w/ kill and look forward to the rest of your shots of same.
Ah, our dear Corinne
Looking forward to the rest of your adventures and pics

It was my pleasure, revisiting my trip to KTP is better than going to the beach, but I have to go there for a couple of hours, family duties

I´m glad that you ideed Gina, I really don´t know if those four cheetahs were the same as the five of the kill on the previous day minus one, but more than one person said they were five.
Anyway, the cheetahs will show up during the course of my TT.

I haven´t been to many game parks, previously I went only to Kruger, including Sabi Sand and Hluhluwe-imfolozi and I loved both but I rate this trip higher, it´s really a very special place, in my wildlife trips rank this one very close to my favourite one, to Pantanal.
By the way, I still have to check your TT, I know you always heve great pictures

Re: Overwhelmed with Kgalagadi
It was quite a long trip, a little over 24 hours to reach the park, Lisbon-Munich (TAP), Munich-Johanesburgo(SAA), Johanesburg-Upington (Airlink) (coming home the intercontinental flight was via London), then we picked up the rental car, went to the Kalahari Mall to by some groceries and finally we were on the road to KTP.
For most of you these first pictures will just be of familiar places but for me everything was new so I´m going to post them because they were part of the trip, and of a road trip, I love road trips and I found the road to KTP a really beautifull one, especially when the red dunes started to show up.
The arrival at Upington airport Leaving Upington On the road, endless straights Then, the red dunes route, it starts to get interesting Pit stop at Askham, with it´s beautiful trading post The first night (and the las three nights) we stayed at the Kgalagadi Lodge, 5km from the park gate, great chalets, I think it´s a very good alternative to Twee Rivieren (not to the other camps, of course)
The lodge with chalets over the dune Our chalet for the first night, right in the red sand

Sunrise colours from our chalet varanda, overlooking Botswana
It didn´t take long for us to start spotting some species new to us, since we never visited any arid parks before.
Our first springbock First ostriches, male and female (these we had seen before at the Cape Peninsula) Firts orix
And the most awaited momment, inside KTP for the first time
And it was time to start our journey to Nossob, where we would spend our only night inside the park (I know it´s not ideal but next time I´ll stay more nights inside). It didn´t take long for us to start spotting some species new to us, since we never visited any arid parks before.
