If they hardly ever get prosecuted for it , why would they stop??

Snaring is as old as conservation itself. The theory is that this is mostly subsistence poaching for starving communities. However it is now on a commercial scale, IMO. Greed. :X:

This lioness was caught in a snare, although park officials and well informed sources tell me that she has been treated by a vet and the injury apparently looks worse than it is and that she seems to be healing 💚

If they burnt them, means that they were not out for lions. Strange though that they both ended up in snares :-? Some more info would be enlightening.

Sanparks must do something serious in order to stop people putting out snares :evil:
