Lions were seen on the Skukuza golf course having a relaxed morning in the shade which made for quite an entertaining episode.

Lowvelder spoke to Jean Rossouw who is the greenskeeper for Skukuza Golf Club.

He said his morning began like any other with him doing his rounds of the grounds on the golf cart which is a standard routine every day, when he spotted the lions.

Rossouw then went back and got a vehicle to assess the situation better. He mentioned that they were still on the golf course at 21:30 and it is just a standard day on the course in the Kruger.

Rossouw said he was quite happy to have his pictures of the lions go viral as it gets the word out that people play golf while vacationing in the Kruger at the only golf course where the Big 5 roams freely.

At the end of the day, the lions knew that the grass was definitely greener on the golf course.

Even as the sun rises, without all our human visitors, the urge to sing the 'lion sleeps tonight' is just a whim away, a whim away, a whim away!

Skukuza Golf Course and Village are unfenced to the Kruger and often have animals walking through etc .. only one human fatality in nearly 100 years ..A lady staff member going on a hard run ..= Thats what prey does = leopard chased her and ran her down ..as nature made them

A couple of Decades ago Sunday Church was cancelled in the Village as a Pride of Lion had taken up Temporary Residence on the Church Steps and the person on duty that morning in charge of unlocking the door and opening up couldnt do his job for some reason :-0 :-0

Skukuza Primary School also got the day off one day as a group of nearly 10 Young almost fully Adult lions were playing tag on the field where pupils congregate and chat before classes begin
