Hi Alf;

For comfort, price and facilities it 100% better than a Sanparks guest house (everything works and is new) but its not in the park :-( If I could actually ever find a Guest House available for 5 days, I would probably take it over Marloth. But they are never available and the cost of a Sanparks guest house for the 7 of us is double that of Marloth...

Rushing this TR cause got to complete before KNP next week O\/

Saturday 1st September 2018 – Continues

At the first water hole along the S137 we found this very tired Hyena. It looked like it had been running for miles and just lay on the side of the road panting, we parked as close as the smell would allow lol

Looks a bit like my Staffie =O:

On the S28 we spotted another Hyena at full sprint, we have seen Hyena on this part of the S28 for the last 5 years

Imageno

Just past Lower Sabie on the H4-1 we spotted our first flat Lions

On the H4-1 between Nkhulu and Skukuza were more Hyena and Vultures, we could only assume that there had been a recent kill here

The rest of the drive was uneventful, and we were soon back at Croc Bridge, this is where everything was happening [O]

It can't be the fence of Marloth 0*\

SN said they saw hyenas and vultures on the H1-4 between Nkhulu and skukuza :-?

Alf: it's the cordoned off area on the other side of the Sabie river just past Nkhulu, I’ve read that is something to do with Rangers testing the effect of trees or elephants on the environment?
