I've still not caught up with woodlands kingfishers, but did get my first ever carmine bee-eaters this year. Love your pics of them both. $\O$

Dewi, those f-ing kingfishers scream all day and most of the short night...ghastly things, and you are missing nothing!

Defenitely far too dry this year, Lisbeth - Indeed no Kruger landscape with all the green vegetation and high grass

That male lion won't sleep much while in mating mode...he is bored and waiting for the wife to wake up and indicate she's ready for more "games"...

It took indeed quite a while until she was again ready

It was in fact that dry but gladly it rained that night and when we left a couple of green spots sprouted already
