Falling behind and catching up again is sometimes an excellent idea, like in your case:
I got to see the rest of the fight in one go, rather than having to sit out the ad breaks.
And even stunninger
(And before someone gets on MY back - I know it's not correct
to say it this way than before! I'm tempted to agree that watching a starling fight is
better than watching mating lions.
And you found RP's true and only love!

Thanks for all your comments Richprins, H. Erectus, Pumbaa, Mel & Lisbeth.
RP - What do you think of when speculating? Chicken & potatoes?
H.E. - Might be a good carrer change for me at the moment.

Not sure I want to chase celebrities though.
Pumbaa - They are great to watch, always love their antics.
Mel - Stunninger is the betterer word to use in this instance.
Lis - How did you get RP to lay still long enough to take that pic?

We left the baboons to themselves and carried on, finding a Ghostbird in one of the trees.
Across the river, a Nyala was wandering along all by himself.
and further down the road, a small batchelor herd of varying ages.
A nice Giraffe on the roadside posed for pics.
Along with a rather shy Slender Mongoose.
A female Sandgrouse was a welcome addition to the day's tally of species.
As was her mate a little further along.
Reaching Red Rocks, a Klipspringer was venturing down for a drink.
And the view here was as impressive as it usually is.

Sorry, I fell behind watching the starlings...
Your narrations with all the fighting pics was very entertaining - thank you so much...
Loved your baby boon pics - and I nearly missed the 'spookvoel'

This bird is still on my wishlist.
