I usually leave Marievale and head home in the late morning but this time I was persuaded, by another photographer, to stay for the afternoon. It was a bit blustery but the light was sublime and the wind was blowing in from the west which meant the birds that were well illuminated were also flying a little slower than usual. The hides are not so good in the afternoon so I parked the BluTuna near the north gate and sat on the open tailgate. Here are a few of the results....

Brownthroated Martin.

Oh, wow!!! Extremely good shots there from the both of you, BT and PR O:V

My favourite is the coucal though, even if I don't know what's going on there either. But it is a bit unusual ^Q^

They are Gulls, not seagulls! There are at least two species that come inland, the Greyheaded and Blackheaded varieties, I've seen both at Marievale.
