Even with your leopard sightings lol Stunning! :-0

But I must say that the little hyena stole the show. At least from my point of view, because once I think
"I want one" it must be really cute lol

More of the wild dogs, once again a great sighting. (But I'm still with the hyena pup lol )

And great raptor sightings on top of it. Seriously :-0 :-0 :-0
Thanks for the comments Mel \O
I was running short on time before our overseas trip hence the Bushcraft impression =O:

Thanks Lis... it was a really great day with plenty more sightings to come \O
Flutterby wrote:Another great sighting!! ^Q^ Always nice when you end up with the prime position!
Prime position was important along the S1... lots of traffic around
Pumbaa wrote:Finally caught up again, PJL,

must say brilliant shots and extra amazing sightings O\/ O\/ O\/

Love the monitor close ups, the many many wild dog pictures and then the leopard plus lions \O

You in fact took the right road and knew where to find something intersting :ty:
Thanks for the comments and following along Pumbaa \O

Fantastic wild dog sighting O/\

A rather “tired” old male lion :-(

Love the junior hyena wingnut pics \O

Cool leopard sighting :-0 :-0 The “brown discovery” mates informed me that you guys were at this sighting. You managed some fantastic pics of him. ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

Another wild dog sighting just after the leopard. That’s a big luck ^0^ ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

BTW, what pic hosting site are you using now :-?
It was a very cool leopard sighting \O \O
I think the discovery crew were in a better position and they caught him drinking as well, but we were just pleased to see him
For now I'm using Flickr for images - I don't really trust photobucket any more so I'm still in the process of transferring images across \O

April 11th Continued

Once the dogs had moved off we continued along the S1 with big grins on our faces after the morning's sightings. Fairly soon we came across a traffic jam - the male leopard from earlier had apparently crossed the road but no-one could see where he had gone so we didn't hang around and escaped the mayhem. It was a good call as about 5 minutes later we came across another leopard O\/ O\/ O/\ O/\

This time a female was moving fairly close and parallel to the road, but due to the thick bush trying to get a glimpse of her was proving really difficult O/ O/

She paused on a small rise for a while which gave us a slightly better view O:V

Image

Image

We waited patiently for her to turn her head and look in our direction but she wasn't interested and walked off in the same direction as her gaze... eventually just a few spots showing how hard she was to see in the tall grass

Image

After all the excitement we weren't really sure which way to head next so we did a bit of an exploration along the S4/S3 which yielded some elephant and a group of black storks ^Q^

Image

We then ventured along the S1 again to see if the leopard had reappeared anywhere, but despite some possible sightings he wasn't to be seen again. We did however find a nice big herd of buffalo complete with youngsters as well as a duiker close up O:V

On our way back to camp we called in at Lake Panic where there were a few hippo and some giraffe along the road....

It had been a really great morning drive \O

Okay... I guess I would have preferred seeing a leopard even in difficult conditions like these,
rather than having no leopard to show off at all lol But it is rather frustrating when you know
they are there and refuse to cooperate. Same goes for the "Oh, there was a leopard a couple
of minutes earlier, but now it vanished into the bush" 0*\ 0*\ 0*\
