Re: AW Photo Competition Safari Winner Trip
Maybe we should leave the trivia for later.
Family show and all.
It was now time to move on a bit further, the next planned stop was the "rock". Unfortunately there was no shade on the rock, RP then started shouting orders to the Boss as to where he should park. The Boss only heard every second or third order, which resulted in us crossing the rock about five times, until it was decided that we could have parked in the shade without crossing over and over again.
Once settled in the shade, I designed a platform for the camera, making use of a cooler box and a few small rocks. Self timer set,...I ran back and joined the other three at the vehicle for our only group shot of all four of us.

After RP started some silly antics of trying to open the little sluice gates, we decided (mainly the Boss I think) that we should move off to a different vantage point for our own safety.

Those spiders are creepy!
Do we look relaxed or what!?
Great photos....bet you someone wins something with a nyala pic...just out of spite...
(Here's what my finger looks like now, BTW...for those who think I'm a hypochondriac!
)

Could have been worse...not really painful, as I put it in the freezer for a long time!

It took Sprocky about 12 attempts, that's why he looks so proud!
The Boss is looking more relaxed, as he knows if trouble comes he will only have to outrun leachy...
