Let nature go it's course, a rather harsh statement supposedly
in post analysis the animal gets euthanized promptly in order to
suit public outcry,.....

Let's face it folks and really no rocket science needed here,...
but far to many incidents are occurring in our wildlife parks,
such of aggression expressed by animals in captivity,........
Common knowledge tells me that a passive animal chained in
captivity will easily become a killer in order too survive!!!!,..

What I wish to come of this, is guide-only tours in KNP; none of this self-drive.
If anything, after this episode, they should ban all open vehicles from Kruger, not force all visitors into them!!

Correct
Without self drive Kruger is history for most Saffies, certainly I will never return

The implications of this second video are chilling, IMO.
I've never seen behaviour like that from any predator in Kruger!
Previous leopard attacks on staff have almost always been at night, by old hungry ones, never into a vehicle!
A leopard jumped into an Osv near Nsemani Dam a few years ago, but that was about it (There is a thread about that somewhere, or was).
The thing about this one is that it is clearly deranged. If not rabies, then I don't know what is going on...TB does not cause that.
I think that once you see behaviour like this you must make all effort possible to get rangers there as quickly as possible, and yourself away as quickly as possible!
