As they say in Afrikaans, "die son trek water", and it was time for us to move on.
Our next stop was at yet another of the plenty dams on this farm. Water here is in abundance.
We had barely stopped and the Boss was out behind the wheel and behind something else, uhmm, maybe he didn't get that far to be behind something else...

No need to get behind anything...no ladies were present there, but here there are plenty. My appologies ladies for Sprocky's choice of pics.

True Lis.. -O -O
There could always be something behind the behind where you need to go behind to do what you're behind with and could bite you from behind if you are not fast enough to move your behind...

Sorry Boss.
But, as I was saying, this area has plenty good watering holes. This one was no exception, it even hosted a Hippo that was a huge topic of discussion amongst us. Here just the eyes are visible above the water.
At the base of the old tree is a Water Monitor.
Finally, the Hippo at least showed us a bit more before he got irritated and made a duck into a quieter area of the dam.

We spent a long time here in the shade of the big trees along the wall of the dam, just chatting, telling stories and sipping on the odd frosty, a great time of relaxation. The shadows were getting longer and I had promised to take the goons to the best sundowner spot on the farm. So after Sprocky had won his bet and got his R50 back from RP, we packed up and moved on.
What ever happened to the bird we struggled to ID on the way to the rock?
