Munnar market and street life
The famous rickshaw also called tuktuk
There are countless types of rice...
When you do not have the right tools, you invent something that works just as well
The dried fish stinks...

The local Christian Church
The church goers
More veggies

Re: Impressions of Kerala, India in photos and words
First week of March.
A week of sheer indulgent relaxation and blissful laziness at Vismaya.
This historic 400+ year old house, managed by the Belgian couple Christel Goemaere and Jan Arryn, was lovingly relocated to this backwater peninsula by Smitha Kalathil and Arun Prasad. This house was subsequently restored painstakingly to its former glory by the renowned Swiss Architect, Karl Damschen. All interior creations & decorations were handled by Karl & Christel, respecting the traditional Kerala settings, yet adding contemporary luxuries, wherever required.
I would not mind spending a week like that once every 3 months *sigh*
Part of the room
The "bath room" or rather "garden
WC
Shower and basin
Swimming pool in the evening
During the day it was like taking a hot bath, but very pleasant. The air felt cooler when you got out

Re: Impressions of Kerala, India in photos and words
Every meal was a pleasant surprise! No hot spices and it was also a joy for the eyes
Always fresh flowers
Dinner one evening
Prawns etc.
Grilled mullet with rice etc.
Shrimp salad
Sea food pasta (yum, yum!)
Fresh tuna fish salad
Spring roll with salad
We had sea food pasta twice, the only repetition and it was not even the same
I do not remember what this was Maybe fish soup
and many others........

There are only two rooms, so never more than 4 persons, bliss! More staff than guests
