Along the H6 we stopped for many zebras as often and this one was in need of a rubbing post
and also a couple of warthogs crossed the road
right in front of us and luckily stayed long enough for a couple of shots.
Magpies were also willing to pose
and again we had luck with another falcon
as well as fish eagle in flight.
Another break then was needed again at N’wanetsi picnic shots where we enjoyed the fantastic view from high above and after we again turned into the S41 we discovered a stripped cuckoo
who allowed a couple of shots as these guys normally do disappear immediately.
We came across another African harrier hawk in a tree
and at one of the many causeways along that road we captured another three banded plover
and on the other side of the river a group of baboons was hanging around now finally in the beautiful sunlight and they simply enjoyed the afternoon.
For sure also dragonflies were around
and on the S100 we stopped for a crested barbet

and finally we saw also our beloved little bee eaters
who were catching dragonflies
and at one of the loops from where you can have a look into the N’wanetsi a bushbuck lady looked curiously at us.
Although we only met few cars dure to the sunlight it was a more than lovely early afternoon and we stopped and spend quite a while with lots of carmine bee eaters,
lilac breasted rollers
and for sure with the ever present imapals
who obviously enjoyed the afternoon in the high grass as well.
Nearly at the end of the S100 at the very first causeway there are a few stones in the river where we already saw that many different animals and today the waterbucks occupied that famous place for themselves we saw many females with her little ones
as well as the obligatory big boss.
Also they had all the time in the world
and simply loved the place
and with another woodland kingfisher we finished our drives that day.

[
Although it was still early afternoon we in fact had enough from driving that day and decided to have a late lunch at the restaurant which was again fantastic and the rest of the afternoon we spent on our verandah with a couple of cold ones and it was indeed a lovely evening.
to be continued……

The variety of birds is just awesome once again!

I also think, that the Levaillant's is captured very well. Pretty face and the cleverness shining from the eyes
For some reason that I cannot put my finger on, I find the photo of the "toilet seats" very charming

A plethora of birds, Pumbaa!
Also love the baby hyena and the wildebeest! Interesting that new loop on the S126!
The plover is a nice pic, along with the bushbuck!

Also never notice that loop ever before - It is a shorter one but leading around a larger rock and looks still very new
