Thanks so much Bushcraft,

for an amazing trip report - That last hyena / wild dog sequence is brilliantly captured and you had it all alone \O \O \O

Your leopard sightings are always outstanding - I wish I will have your luck one day

And totally right when in the park the time passes by sooooo quickly :-(

Once again thanks a lot and until the next time and greetings to your ladies 0/0

Alf wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 1:19 pm Great interaction between the dogs and hyenas ^Q^ ^Q^

The dogs were wondering what the SP vehicle was doing on the bridge lol lol

Thanks for sharing your 2000 leopard report with us lol
Shot Alf, I wish your leopard count was correct though =O: =O:

Ja, the car's a kak colour, but it works in KNP ;-)

Another great trip! Thanks for sharing! :ty:
Thanks Flutts \O

We have seen wild dogs take on hyena in KNP before and once at Imfolozi, but every time there were more dogs than hyena

PJL wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 3:14 pm Thanks for sharing another Browns trip with us all \O

As usual a phenomenal number of predators ^Q^ ^Q^

When's the next trip?
Thanks PJL X#X

Ya, plenty predators to be seen in August/September in our experience

Next trip O** Work issues, Hawkeyes starts Varsity, finances, etc so KNP may have to be put on ice for awhile :-(

A major disagreement =O:

The dogs bullied the hyena, probably due to their numbers \O

Richprins wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 5:49 pm The hyenas are not cowards at all, and I think the screaming is to call for reinforcements. They are very organised and successful, but totally numbers-oriented. O:V

Smashing shots, lovely the one of the hyenas coming then running! =O:

Thank you so much again, Bushy. Your reports are not just a feast for the eyes but really well-written and entertaining! :ty: :ty: :ty:

X#X
Thanks RP X#X

Ja, screaming for backup  We have seen dogs push hyena around a few times, but always when the dogs have the numbers \O

Entertaining =O: I write what happens, so we must be a faulty family =O:

Interesting to see how that one wild dog eyed you intensly

And what is that bird that shared the puddle with the shrieking hyena
and still being totally nonchalant about the commotion around it?

:ty: for taking the time to share your trip with us. A pleasure as always.
And we're used to your speed by now anyways
Thanks Mel \O

It was a good end to our trip X#X The hamerkop in the puddle ignored the commotion 0-

I hope it wasn't posted too fast 0:

Lisbeth wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 6:58 pm The picture turned around when the dogs started to attack the hyenas. Funny to see hyenas afraid, usually they only take a bit of a distance. Maybe being only two of them lol

A few bye bye lions. You certainly did not leave the park "empty-handed" this time \O

Thanks for taking the trouble to share the trip with us in order to make us all :-0 :-0 ;-)

0/0 to the Cow and the Rats and of course to "il bello biondo platino" =O:
Thanks Lisbeth \O

The hyena were outnumbered so they headed for the hills and a puddle lol

I'm not sure about the "il bello" part, but correct on the "biondo platino" part =O: X#X

It was a good trip, probably our 2nd/3rd best Kruger trip ever, I just wish that we had found cheetah also

Time in Kruger passes way too quickly and I wish I could spend more time in the park each year, but I assume many feel the same ;-)
