That was a brief stop for my pet spider. ;-)

Next stop was the bosses choice and a good one I might add. \O

The sun was going down...

The Boss stopped the van in the perfect position for the sunset and downers, but RP was still inquisitive about a hole we saw earlier in the morning. He had to drag the Master along to view this orifice. 0*\ But, who was there last??? :-?

By the time they were done, the G&T's were ready on the bonnet. \O

You've also got some great sunset pics Leachy, don't forget the burning bush. \O
The Square Sun
So we're sitting there watching the sun get closer to the distant horizon when RP comes out with this amazing piece of information. " do you guys know that there is an optical anomaly associated with a setting sun? " grabbing his binoculars he is about to demonstrate. Seeing what he is about to do we all yell in unison " No Rich, don't" Too late, he raises the binocs to the sun and instantly seers his eyeballs. I swear I saw steam erupting out of them as he clutched his face, moaning in agony.
Sprocky, remembering something he learned from his scout days that if a spitting cobra gets you in the eyes, you should get your buddy to pee in them, grabs RP to wrestle him to the ground, yelling "come iNdy, you can do another one"
Oh my goodness passes my mind in a flash, I can't pee on demand, but for RP I'll give it a try.

Chaos reigns supreme, there is a loud crashing in the bush behind us as animals flee in terror at the comotion and the smell of seered eyeballs. A Lammergeir does a perfect barrel roll , trying to gain altitude, alas, he flies into the ground completely inverted, a buffalo launches himself from a high branch, his roosting place for the night, as a black rhino frantically burrows into the hole that had facinated RP for so long, a girraffe dives for cover under the bakkie, total chaos.

Leachy is hopping around telling RP what a blithering idiot he is and that he should be fired, as I down my G&T in a flash hoping to build up some pressure, but alas to no avail.
I yell at Sprocs, "no bud it,it won't work" so he instantly downs his G&T to see what he can do,...also no reaction. We both look at Leachy who says "uh-uh no way", but downs his G&T anyway.

So here the three of us stand with empty glasses, RP writhing on the ground, the sun disappearing fast, as one, the decision is made.....pour another G&T, get some pics of the sunset and then we'll attend to RP.

OK, so I've taken a little poetic license with the story, just a very little, but it was a sunset with a difference. Now I can't even remember what RP was about to show us with the square sun, but he now has square eyeballs, so maybe that was it. -O- -O- 0*\
