I took a day trip in to the park yesterday - it's been a while since I went there by myself which is always more relaxing lol

The start of the day was really quiet and I was fully expecting to see some caracal around. So much so that I took Mbotyi and Vukani loops as the dense bush areas can be a good place to spot them. Unfortunately there weren't any cats to be seen, but it was good to see a couple of Addo's shy animals...

Travelling along Ngulube there were a couple of jackal trotting along

Further along the loop some movement caught my eye on a distant hillside... a quick check with binoculars confirmed it was Josie and her cubs O/\ O/\

They were a very long way off - about 800m - so it wasn't the best sighting for photos, but still great to watch the little ones playing. They are all looking extremely healthy, and Josie's recent facial cuts from a warthog appear to be healing up nicely \O

Brilliant pics, PJL....maybe it's the HD talking! ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

The animals are definitely more shaggy and dark there, compared to ours? I know I've said this before! :-0

Maybe it's the lush vegetation -O- We've certainly had a lot of rain recently...
