After wrestling RP to the ground to try and save him, he was still adamant that he wanted to see the squaring of the sun. The Master and I then just stood by sipping on another G&T, leaving RP to experience his desire. The Boss once again armed himself with my camera to capture the goings on.

Very soon the sun was vanishing and the light was fading rapidly. The time had come to head back to camp as we didn't have the means to view game in the dark of night.

:-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

as we have mentioned......

sprocky and the boss cannot sit still..........

i am still in relaxed mode from the week end away......

O:V O:V O:V O:V O:V O:V

so...............

while we were at the trivia spot checking the giraffe and sprocky was photographing the stream

a huge bird took flight from somewhere close behind us....... and the boss screamed

palmnut vulture !!!!

the bird had actually flown away so we figured that it was a missed opportunity

:-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

however, it appeared way up high in the sky above us

and as it soared in circles the "old bird book" and the "new iphone app" went to battle !!!!!!!!

and the opinions varied from palmnut... to cape vulture..... to juvenile martial..... to juvenile fish eagle....

so let's hear what the jury reckons............................

I said martial straight away, let it be noted, just a glance required! ;-) O:V

iNdy says it was a palm nut vulture...just because he's seen one before... O** "

The thing about the hamsters is, if they don't agree with you you are subjected to a stream of insults and swearwords for your troubles! -O- 0:

The Master just clucks his tongue, which is almost as bad! -O

Just caught up on 6 pages of mirth since yesterday. =O: =O: =O:

RP, are you sure that was a burn and not frostbite? -O

If you guys joined in on the bird challenges you would know instantly what your raptor is. -O -O
